G’day, Mates!
Nothing like watching the Australian Open tennis tournament in January to remind me I owe a call to one of my favorite Aussies- Gavin Solomon!
Gavin grew up outside Sydney near beautiful Manly Beach doing what most young Australian boys do: surfing, rugby, cricket, Aussie Rules football, and most of all in Gavin’s case, tennis.
Through competing in tennis and touring around the world with his family, Gavin caught the travel bug early on.
As Gavin entered the working world, the computer bug got hold of him as well, and he found himself in the tech world. Luckily for his love of travel, his job often sends him abroad, mostly to the US, Canada, and Europe.
Now living in the Australian capital of Canberra, Gavin continues to take trips whenever he can. Many of his pleasure holidays find him on wheels – bicycles and motorbikes to be exact. He’s currently planning an epic motorcycle trip from California to Sturgis, South Dakota!
It was great to catch up with Gavin to find his latest whereabouts, see how things are down in Oz, and to finally why every Aussie we meet is a massive coffee snob!
Cheers Gavin! Look out for those drop bears!
