Nine years is a lot of time between Travel Tales.
Mike Schibel last guested on the show back in 2017, when the sales exec and former showbiz agent had returned from a lengthy world journey determined to make travel a focus in his life.
Soon, Mike started his own travel website, Travel With Meaning, and created his own podcast while hosting live travel events around Los Angeles.
He’s taken bicycle tours around Tenerife, Spain; eaten his weight in dumplings at multiple Austrian knodel festivals; sauna’d and cold-dipped while exploring family roots in Finland, and much more.
The native Angelino also literally rose from the ashes after watching his childhood home burn to the ground after last year’s devastating Palisades fire.
Despite the loss and the upending of his and his parents’ lives, Mike feels the incident helped him find more meaning than ever in not just travel, but in everyday life.
Still on the road and still finding meaning in it, Mike is excited to be working with Parks Project, a purpose-driven outdoor lifestyle and apparel brand dedicated to connecting people with nature and giving back to our national parks. This fall, Parks Project is hosting a curated adventure to Sequoia National Park. Clink the link to reserve a spot!
