April 10, 2026 Janice Martin The Flying Musician
Listen Now

I’m not doing enough on stage.

Those were my thoughts in a nutshell the first time I worked with Janice Martin on a cruise ship, watching her dangle 30 feet in the air on silks while singing and playing violin.

For a guy traveling with just a carry-on suitcase and jokes, I was not only impressed with Janice’s many talents, but also by the way she can travel the world dragging valuable instruments, aerial equipment, elaborate costumes and merch to sell.

Turns out that despite her small stature, Janice is battle-tested in many ways. Brough up a pastor’s daughter in Wisconsin, she made her way to the famous Julliard School of Music in New York and then most surprisingly, into the US Army.

She’s practiced martial arts, performed with Chinese acrobats, and had a long-running show of her own in Branson, Mo.

Janice continues to fly high and amaze audiences around the world. Glad we caught her on the ground for a bit!
