Time to put the wraps on another year of life and travel.
For yours truly, 2025 was a year of love and loss, of wonder and tragedy.
From street dancing at Carnaval in Rio, fighting seasickness along Kauai’s magical Kaanapali Coast, or organizing a memorial for friend gone too soon, this year covered a lot of emotions.
It was also a year where the Travel Tales Podcast went weekly, joined a travel podcast network (thanks, Voyascape!), and was nominated for an award in the field (didn’t win, but an honor to be in the mix!)
Looking ahead, 2026 already has plenty of travel on the books for business and pleasure, including some definite bucket list locales (hello, China and Palau!)
As the world changes socially and geopolitically, I still believe moving forward that travel and experiencing different places, people and cultures is the best way toward peace and understanding.
Here’s hoping the next year leads us to more discovery, wonder, and joy.
