Ever lose your passport?
For many travelers, misplacing that all important document is one of their greatest fears when abroad. Replacing a missing passport leads to canceled plans, bureaucratic hassles, and wasted time and money.
After watching a friend struggle with replacing a stolen passport while traveling, Mark Phipps realized there must be a way to track the booklet’s whereabouts in today’s digital age.
He then created Lost In Paradise, a digital passport cover that works with existing cell phone technology to locate a passport.
Mark left his native England at 19 and never looked back, spending the next 15 years as a nomad living in Australia, New Zealand, and the US. He now lives in the tropical island paradise of Koh Phangan, Thailand, working for a tour company and creating his startup on the side.
He also continues to travel the globe, and recently returned from an incredible solo trip to remote Mongolia, where he lived with a family of reindeer herders.
And yes, he never lost his passport’s whereabouts!
Thanks, Mark!
