Leave it to a meteorologist to want to be above the clouds.
Denver-based TV weather reporter Jennifer Broome certainly likes to be outside where the action is, and if it’s not happening locally, she’ll seek it out globally.
Jennifer, who’s hiked numerous 14,000-ft peaks in her home state of Colorado and elsewhere, traveled halfway around the world in early 2022 for a new challenge – hike to Mt. Everest Base Camp.
The trek took nearly two weeks and exacted a major toll on Jennifer’s mind and body, but she doesn’t regret a moment.
She shares Tales of her personal journey leading up to the hike, exploring Nepal, what foods to avoid at high altitude, and gives helpful tips for anyone else thinking of making the same journey.
